Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series as well as Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Her birthplace was Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of high school after her parents separated to go into Los Angeles to live with her mother. Her first role came to her, as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001 despite struggling financially. Her performance in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV movie Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was cast as Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost where she was a main cast member for the first two seasons winning an Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast.
